The hunt started on August 15th with the opening of archery season, when I hunted with my longbow. It was very hard to find rams in an area that I would have the chance to make a stalk. The terrain was so steep and rugged with cliffs and rock slides. At an elevation of 10,000 feet plus, it is extremely hard to get within my 20 – 25 yard range to take a a shot. I was able to stalk 3 rams one day and closed the distance to 100 yards before the rams winded me and the stalk was over.
